Before becoming the bright shining stars that they are today, Hollywood's elite had to find a way to pay the bills like the rest of us.
Although it is hard to imagine them as mere mortals, some of the older A-listers once scrubbed toilets, used ridiculous costumes, or even tamed lions for a living. Take a look at this gallery to see the odd jobs celebrities had, according to a Ranker list, before they got rich and famous.
1. Sylvester Stallone
In 1970, when Stallone was suffering from money, he starred in the adult film 'Party at Kitty and Stud.
2. Eva Mendes
Before decorating the big screen, Mendes wore a brightly coloured uniform in Hot Dog on a Stick. She was reportedly fired from work for playing a joke on a co-worker.
3. Gwen Stefani
The lead singer of No Doubt began pumping ice cream at Dairy Queen. Stefani claimed that when she started her job at Dairy Queen, she was fitting her outfit, but when she was dating, she was unable to put on the uniform.
4. Kristen Wiig
Although Wiig worked many odd jobs when he was 20 years old, one of his favourites was selling peaches at a local farmers market.
5. Megan Fox
On 'The Ellen Show', the actor revealed that his only "real job" before going into acting was working at a smoothie shop where he would occasionally have to dress in a banana outfit.
6. Jennifer Aniston
Before his claim to fame on 'Friends', Aniston sold timeshares in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. "It was horrible," he said of his sales skills.
7. Chris Rock
In 1989, the comedian washed the dishes at Red Lobster. Rock claims they kept him in the back because his teeth hurt and they didn't want customers to think it was because of the shrimp.
8. Christopher Walken
This is perhaps the craziest weird job of all. When Walken was a boy, he worked in a travelling circus as an assistant lion tamer.
9. Amy Adams
At 18, Adams wore an orange pair of pants and a white T-shirt at a sports bar known for its particularly voluptuous waitresses. This is how the university paid and he admitted that he enjoyed the experience.
10. Brad Pitt
Pitt's reputation as a Hollywood heartthrob makes it hard to imagine him dressed up as a chicken outside an El Pollo Loco restaurant, but it happened. At one point, the actor also brought strippers to his concerts to earn a quick buck.
11. Johnny Depp
In the past, the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor worked as a telemarketer, selling pens over the phone.
12. Cindy Crawford
When she lived in DeKalb, Illinois, the iconic model kept a job stripping corn in the blazing summer sun.
13. Matt LeBlanc
When the 'Friends' star was entering adulthood, he was training to become a carpenter like his grandfather. He later fell in love with acting instead.
14. Whoopi Goldberg
Goldberg was a trained esthetician before winning the Oscars and becoming a talk show host. She really used her hair and makeup skills working in a morgue.
15. Geena Davis
Long before she got to acting, Davis posed as a live mannequin in a store. Perhaps this experience led her to her modelling and acting career.
